Clovernook and Beyond: How and Why Alice Cary Still Matters, a roundtable discussion at The American Literature Association‘s annual conference in Chicago, Illinois. The roundtable is organized by The Alice Cary Society and will feature Monika Elbert, Mikki Galliher, Adelyn Olson, Leanne Phillips, John Staunton, and Michelle Wood. Leanne will be speaking about Cary’s novel Hagar: A Story of To-Day, its importance to the literary canon, and its influence and impact on contemporary women writers.
