Show Me the Money: Funding Your Writing Career with Grants, Fellowships, and Residencies.

Let’s face it, not everyone can afford to write full-time, to travel for research, or to spend a summer at Walden Pond writing while your friends and family bring you dinner and donuts. It’s hard enough to find a room of one’s own, let alone to find the time off work and the peace and quiet to write. But there is money out there for writers who are working on long-term projects. In this session, I’ll show you how to research and apply for cash money that will give you the time to write and the funds you need for research, as well as opportunities to focus on your writing in peaceful and idyllic settings, to share your writing with others, and to support your work while you grow your writing career.
