I have incredible, unbelievable news: My short story “Trees” was selected as the grand prize winner in ScreenCraft’s 2023 Cinematic Short Story Competition! I am beyond thrilled. This is perhaps my favorite story I’ve ever written because it was hard to write and because it combines so many of the things I’m passionate about: California history, social justice, women coming together and supporting one another in community. I am grateful, honored, and excited to see what the future holds for this little story.
