I’m happy to announce that my short story “Rhonda” was the third-place winner in the Napa Valley Writers Flash Fiction Contest. The Napa Valley Writers are a branch of the California Writers Club. They generously opened their flash fiction contest to all branches of the California Writers Club. I belong to the Coastal Dunes branch and am proud to represent on behalf of our branch.
I wrote “Rhonda” nearly four years ago, and I’ve been trying to find her home since. She was rejected 31 times–so many times that I began calling her “poor Rhonda.”
I’m thrilled to report that poor Rhonda has found her home. 🙂
